OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The big Red River Rivalry game between the University of Oklahoma and Texas is just two weeks away, and the Heartland Flyer is ready to hit the train tracks and throw the horns down on the way to Dallas.
The historic train offers football fans the opportunity to skip the freeway drive and the hassle of finding parking at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas, and just enjoy a relaxing ride while also socializing with other fans on board.


The “Big Game Train” will include Amtrak’s Sightseer lounge during this year’s trip, which features a floor-to-ceiling window view as the train travels from Oklahoma to Texas.


The Flyer will leave from the Sante Fe Depot in Oklahoma City on Friday, October 10, at 8:25 a.m. and arrive at Union Station in downtown Dallas at 2 p.m. The train will depart from Dallas on Sunday, October 12, at 3:15 p.m. and arrive back in Oklahoma City at 9:27 p.m.
