Oklahomans could soon see the end of a 1951 state law that allows research facilities to force municipal animal shelters to surrender lost and unclaimed pets for medical testing, according to U.S. Senate. Oklahoma remains the only state in the nation with a mandatory pound seizure law still on the books.
