OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma Attorney Gentner Drummond announced on Thursday, the state’s open meeting and open records law seminars are returning to Oklahoma communities beginning October 27.

Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office is partnering with the Oklahoma Press Association in prioritizing openness and transparency in government.

“We must ensure that Oklahoma’s public officials are acting openly with honesty and integrity,” he said. “I am thankful for the hardworking individuals in my office who are also dedicated to these principles and I am pleased to offer this seminar series statewide for every type of public official.”

Attendees can expect a question and answer session that includes elected or appointed officials’ responsibility under the acts.

Deputy General Counsel Thomas R. Schneider will present the seminars.

Seminars will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at four locations:

  • Oct. 27 at the Tulsa Technology Center Riverside Campus, 801 E 91 St.;
