OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahomans living in the Izzy Apartments are bracing for their water services to be terminated because the apartment complex is thousands of dollars behind on payments to the City.
The apartment complex is located near Northwest Expressway and Rockwell. Tenants woke up to a notice from the City of Oklahoma City Utilities Department, stating that the services will be suspended on or after October 8.

“Just thinking about it is stressful, not just the fact that I might not have water in a week or two, but just thinking about it is stressful because I’m supposed to be okay. I’ve paid my bills,” Daniel Kimbrell, a resident at The Izzy Apartments, told News 4.
Another resident, Kyani Cox, said, “We’ve been paying our bills, and some of us get charged twice for water. And I don’t know why they haven’t been paying the water bill.”
The Oklahoma City Utilities Department said the management company owes $56,459.31 and hasn’t paid its August or September bills.
News 4 went to speak with staff in the leasing office and was told to leave the property.
Shortly after that encounter, the management company called News 4, claiming the issue had been resolved, saying, “This bill has been fully paid in full.”
After the call, the City confirmed that no payments were pending on the account.
The management company even sent an email to residents claiming the notice was an error.
At around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, the City confirmed that the management company made a payment of $36K. If the remaining balance is not paid in full, the services will still be disconnected on or after October 8.
Families say they are confused and want answers for where their money goes each month.
