Regarding Kevin Frey’s Sept. 8 news article “Former GOP lawmakers join Democrats to challenge Trump’s mail-in voting crackdown” and Erum Salam’s Sept. 6 news article “Trump administration again presses the Supreme Court on mail-in voting limits”:
We all know that all American adults have the right to vote. Mail in ballots are important for those who cannot physically walk in to vote.
I am a 71-year-old widow who has been fighting cancer for two years. I suffer greatly with bone and spine issues. I have home healthcare.
There are days when I cannot leave my house, and I have no family nearby.
There are real reasons why some people cannot reach polling places. The Trump administration’s approach is outrageous — offering no compassion, empathy or understanding to Americans with health issues.
I hope that the Supreme Court will give such issues serious consideration as it makes critical decisions.
