MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — The McClain County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of a shooting that left one person in critical but stable condition.
On Tuesday, September 30, at around 10:30 p.m., McClain County deputies responded to the scene of a shooting near 174th Street and Council Avenue in Dibble.
According to the department, the suspect, identified as Michael Blankenship, fled the scene before law enforcement agencies arrived and is on the run.
He faces charges for aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
Detectives are currently investigating the whereabouts of Blankenship. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 405-527-4600 or 911. Do not approach him as he is believed to be armed with a handgun.
